- Hot compacting of Oxides, Nitrides, Borides, Carbides, and Sulfides and
Mixtures thereof to near theoretical Densities
- Sintering
Generally, a basic system includes the following components:
- Chamber Assembly
- Heat Zone Assembly
- Power Supply Package
- Control Instrumentation and Cabinet
- Press Frame
- Hydraulic System
- Evacuation or High Vacuum Pumping System
- Inert/Nitrogen Gas System
Other Hot Press models are available within the following parameters:
- Force: 5, 10, 15, 25, 50 or 100 Tons
- Hot Zone Sizes: To accept Die diameters of 1" to 14" and lengths to 20"
- Heating Elements: Molybdenum, Tungsten Mesh, High Purity
Graphite or Tantalum; all with appropriate Heat Shield Insulation
- Temperature: 500C to 2500C
- Atmospheres: Gas at 2 PSIG to 2500C, Rough or High Vacuum, 10 ^-2 Torr to
10^-6 Torr levels to 2300C
