High Temperature Vacuum Furnaces "Degrees Ahead in Quality" |
The Oxy-Gon TC Series Top Loading FurnaceThe TC Series Top Loading Furnace is designed to provide years of continuous service while requiring a low investment cost.More details: PDF Data Sheet Applications for this furnace include:
The furnace can be rated up to a maximum operating temperature of 3000° Centigrade (5,432° Fahrenheit) and will operate in vacuum, inert atmosphere, Nitrogen or Hydrogen. Generally, the basic furnace system includes the following components:
The chamber is double walled, 304L stainless steel. The top and bottom covers and access lids are water cooled, 304L stainless steel and/or nickel plated copper. Each component is electropolished to attain the highest vacuum quality. Ports are incorporated in the chamber for a sight window, thermocouples, and inert gas. Power to the element is supplied by three (3) power feedthroughs located in the bottom of the chamber. All power feedthroughs are nickel plated. Heat ZoneThe cylindrical element and shield assembly are fixed inside the chamber to allow easy loading of the fixture and materials for processing. Power SupplyPower supplies can be provided with any of the following characteristics: 3 phase, 208, 360, or 480 volts, and 50 or 60 hertz. A typical power supply incorporates the following components: a stepdown tranformer, SCR, circuit breaker, contactor, pushbuttons, and indicator lights. The components are wired and housed in a free standing cabinet. Temperature ControlDepending on the customer's requirements, OXY-GON INDUSTRIES, INC. can incorporate as a part of the furnace system the programmable controllers, recorders, and temperature control devices (i.e. thermocouple, optical pyrometer, or power transducer). Pumping SystemManual through fully automatic (PLC control) pumping systems can be provided for the range of 10-20 Millitorr (rough vacuum with mechanical pump only) through 10-10 Torr (cryo and ion pumps). Our typical standard system is semi-automatic and consists of a diffusion pump, mechanical pump, the necessary valving, and a vacuum gauge controller. The system will consistently operate in the 10-5/ 10-6 range. Inert Gas/Nitrogen SystemTo Allow operation using inert gases or Nitrogen, a kit which includes inlet and outlet valves and a pressure/ vacuum gauge is supplied. Wet or Dry Hydrogen SystemThe system can be manual or fully automatic using flow control and variable percent mixing of Hydrogen with other gases. All necessary safety interlocks and devices, i.e. blow-off port, igniter, etc., are included in this system. For literature, please contact Oxy-Gon Sales at 603-736-8422 |
